Marina Carreiras

Architect (Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon) with a Master’s degree in Spatial Planning and Urbanism (Instituto de Geografia e Ordenamento do Território da Universidade de Lisboa, University of Lisbon). She was involved in various research projects, with a particular focus on housing, urban regeneration, socio-spatial interventions, and the integration of migrants. Between 2023 and 2024 she was a PhD Research Fellow in the ‘MetroPublicNet’ project, while she is developing her research on the nexus between immigration and gentrification (Migration Studies, University of Lisbon). Her research interests include urban and social transformations, migration, housing, and public space.
