Francesco Orsi
PhD completed in 2020
Francesco Orsi is an architect and spatial planner specialized in decision-making support models for regional design.
He holds a MSc in Architecture from the Technical University of Vienna (TU Wien) in 2009 and a PhD from the University of Lisbon, School of Architecture (FAUL) in 2020. His PhD research entitled “Development Strategies of Re-urbanization for Sustainable Extensive Towns” has been funded by the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia of which he is Research Fellow since 2012.
His work is focused on the conceptualization and development of multidisciplinary data-driven decision-making support models for strategic spatial planning in the context of regional design.
Since 2020, he integrates the research program “Softplan - From Soft Planning to Territorial Design: practices and prospects” as Post-doc Researcher.
