Sara Alfonso

Sara Alfonso (Sardinia, Italy, 1994) holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban and Landscape Planning achieved in 2019 at the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urban Planning of the University of Sassari, in Italy.
In 2019 she began a MSc in Planning and Policies for Cities, Environment and Landscape in the same University.
In 2020/2021 she holds the European Masters Course in Planning and Policies for the City, Environment and Landscape at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon, in Portugal. It was a joint degree course offered by the CAP Consortium partners.
In the spring of 2021, she started a professional internship at URBinLAB research group of CIAUD - Research Centre for Architecture, Urban Planning and Design, coordinated by Professor João Rafael Santos. The internship is focused on the development of a survey, representation and analysis of relevant public space projects developed and built in Lisbon Metropolitan Area between 1998 and 2020. The survey is part of “MetroPublicNet” research project at FA.
During the past years she took part in international workshops, one at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Belgrade, in Serbia; another one organized by the University of Girona in Spain, and the last one organized by the University of Architecture of Lisbon in September 2021 in the city of Setubal, in Portugal.
She also worked as intern at Pixel Architecture Studio in Alghero, in Italy.
Since the beginning of 2021 she collaborates on the journalistic italian project “L’Alfiere” promoted by Florence University’s students, as a writer on environmental issues.
